Lucy Wilma Hendrick

Lucy Wilma Hendrick, 93, of Lufkin, was born December 19, 1914, in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Sallie (Wideman) and Andrew Franklin Burrous. She passed away Friday, March 14, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Hendrick was retired from the Lufkin Telephone Exchange, where she had been a chief operator. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her nephews and their wives, Kenneth and Charlene McGee of Lufkin, Arthur Franklin and Tina Nesmith of Houston, Edsel and Eloise Nesmith of Tennessee, Dewey and Louise Burrous of Lufkin and Joe and Cheryl McGee; niece and her husband, Earnestine and Linwood Trahan; great-nephew, Arthur and Inee Nesmith of Lufkin; and a number of great-nieces, greatnephews, and many friends at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hendrick was preceded in death by her husband, Chandler Hendrick.

Services for Mrs. Hendrick were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
