Spring Sharathon '08
Fundraising continues through Thursday in effort to raise funds for ministry

Two local listener-supported radio stations are hosting an onair fundraiser called Spring Sharathon 2008 that began Tuesday and concludes at 8 p.m. Thursday. This year's Spring Sharathon, focuses on raising funds for the upcoming year's needs for ministry and service. More than 170 volunteers, from local communities, receive calls for donations from listening families, business owners, professionals, churches, and local organizations.

90.9 KSWP and 91.9 KAVX reach more than 15,000 square miles of homes and families. The 2007 GMA/CMB Station of the Year, Small Market national award winner, KSWP and KAVX encouraged more than 25,000 elementary school kids to stay drug free during the 4th Annual Red Ribbon Coloring Contest and aired over 12,700 public service announcements for area churches, schools, and civic organizations. More than 1,750 screaming teenagers and happy moms and dads attended Family Music Fest's first ever "Youth Concert" during the Texas State Forest Festival and 2,177 individual prayer requests were prayed for by the KSWP/KAVX Prayer Intercessors.
