Church news Jubilee Church We live in a very busy world today. When I talk to folks about the urgency of making a life commitment to Jesus, the answer I often get is just that. Right now I am too busy preacher but one of these days I will. Folks really have good intentions about commitment to Jesus but just let all the cares of this life take priority. The truth of God is that there may not be a "one of these days" in the life of everyone who intends to let Jesus rule in their life. The truth is, I almost wasted my last "one of these days" to be obedient to Jesus. I did make that commitment in 1972, but several years later God revealed to me that the day I did that was my last opportunity. Jesus reminds us in John 6:44 No man can come to Me except the Father draw him. When I decided one day to look up the word Jesus used that was translated "draw" I realized that was exactly what happened in my life. I had lived a pretty sinful life & had my own agenda. I wanted what I wanted and would do what God wanted when I got time. That original word was not defined like we normally think of God "drawing us to him." It is not a wooing, tugging, pleading, requesting, call. It is a drawing like a horse drawn carriage. To drag something over to a different place. Suddenly I realized that is exactly what took place in my life. God loved me so much that He drug me to Jesus. All the time I was spiritually kicking & screaming, "not now Lord but when I get ready." Many have told me the reason they do not care for church is that their Dad & Mom drug them to church as a child. Well, they were doing exactly what god had done for them. If you feel drug to the Church to hear the Gospel, why not quit kicking & screaming "not now Lord" and just enjoy the blessings that God has in store for those that willingly obey Him. At Jubilee Baptist Church we have fun with every thing we do to honor God. If you do not have a church home and want to be a part of church that is obedient first & then understands second we invite you to Jubilee Baptist Church.
