Arnold L. (Sonny) Holland

Funeral services for Arnold L. (Sonny) Holland, 76, of Lufkin were held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rob Owens officiating. Interment followed in the Holland Cemetery in Hardin County) Texas.

Mr. Holland was born December 4, 1931 in Hardin County, Texas to Arthur and Sally (Averett) Holland, and died Friday, March 28, 2008 in a local hospital.

Mr. Holland retired after 40-f years at Louisiana Pacific. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. Mr. Holland adored his great grandkids, he liked caring for his hummingbirds and working in his yard and always put his family first. He was a big Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Holland of Lufkin; daughter and fiancée, Bonnie Reynolds and Rip Valentine of Lufkin; son, Charlie Johnson of Tatum; grandson and spouse, Clayton and Dana Reynolds; grandson, Rodney Reynolds of Lufkin; granddaughter, Charlene Johnson of Lufkin; great grandchildren, Blaire and Cameron Reynolds of Lufkin; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Joyce, Williams of Kountze; sister, Bernice Tanner of Onalaska; sister, Betty Herrin of Sour Lake; brother, Richard Holland of Kountze.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were Colt Valentine, Chad Valentine, Rip Valentine, Rodney Reynolds, Clayton Reynolds and Dwight Roe.

Honorary pallbearers were JT. Lilley, Aubrey McInnis and Louisiana Pacific co-workers.
