Freddie Roslie Meadows

Freddie Rolsie Meadows, 89, of Lufkin, was born February 23, 1919, in Alto, Texas, the daughter of the late Michie (Allen) and Fred Powers. She passed away Monday, March 24, 2008, in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Meadows was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Rayford Meadows of Trinity, Kenneth Meadows of Spring, Melvin Meadows of Livingston and Don Meadows of Houston; daughter, Donna Forester of Broaddus; sister, Shirley Rast of Diboll; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-greatgrandchildren; and a number of other family members.

Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her husband, M. G. Meadows.

Pallbearers were Melvin Meadows, Jr., James Meadows, Joe Allen Meadows, Steven Flanery, Michael Flanery and David Allen.

Services for Mrs. Meadows were held at 1 0:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Don McNaughton officiating. Graveside services followed at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto.
