T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library planning 45th year

It's National Library Week and I haven't got a thing to wear! Seriously, come as you are and visit your local library this week during this celebration of libraries and their workers. Take time to browse the shelves and enjoy the adventures that are waiting there for you. April is also our Library's birthday month. This Library opened for public use on April 25, 1964. We have been serving you now for 44 years. As an observation, with us moving out, the building/ renovation project is supposed to be completed by the end of September, first of October. Originally we thought the Grand Opening would be next Spring on the Library's 45th Birthday. However, because we will be through sooner, our Grand Opening will take place before the end of 2008! What a way to end the year.

Alert! Alert! We are temporarily experiencing technical diffi

culty. Due to circumstances beyond our control, and the galaxy it seems, we cannot at the present access our card catalog or our patron's information online. Please be patient with us as we use the old fashioned way to check out your books. Remember to bring your library card with you; that will help things out tremendously. If you can't find what you need on the shelf, just ask us and we will be glad to help you find what you need. Don't panic, we do still have Internet access available to the public. Hopefully everything will be up and running again soon.

At a recent Tot-Time program here at the library, Mrs. Karen's class from Katherine Sage Day Care, heard the story of The Moon Ring by Randy DuBurke. Then thanks to a generous donation from Dairy Queen here in Diboll, the children enjoyed a wonderful slice of ice cream cake. The staff of the library would like to say a big "Thank You" to the management of the Diboll Dairy Queen. While we are on the subject of Tot-Time, before we moved we had told you we would not be able to have Tot-Time anymore until the new building re-opened. We are happy to say that that is not the case after all. Once again Temple Inland came to our rescue and let us use an extra room in which to hold "Tot-Time." So boys and girls come on back and be part of Miss Chaunta's Tot-Time on Wednesday mornings, 11:00-11:30. We hope to see you here next week.
