SPEC offers tax filing help to Angelina seniors and veterans

On Wednesday, three representatives from the SPEC office in Houston came to Lufkin the train members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #113 on how to assist Veterans and Seniors who don't normally have to file a tax return, to file the special form which will enable them to receive the IRS Economic Stimulus Payment this summer.

Two more sessions will be held to assist Seniors and Veterans who were unable to attend the first session. Wednesday, April 16 at the Angelina County Senior Citizens Center, 2801 Valley from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday, April 23 at Diboll Housing Authority,Fair Acres Community Center, 734 Booker from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
