Ready set Relay for Life

Tanner Adam Mullins has attended the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life for four years. You may not think this is too impressive but, you see, Tanner is only 4 years old.
He does not understand the significance of it all, but he will because his family will teach him how important it is.
Tanner has reason to attend each year and walk laps. His grandmother Peggy Ford will be walking as a cancer survivor; his grandmother Mary Mullins is also a survivor. Tanner's great-grandfather Howard Mullins and his great-uncle Bob Pennington will be participating again this year as cancer survivors.
There are very few families who have not had cancer touch someone within their family. Tanner, at his young age, is no exception.
It is very important to raise money for research so that Tanner and others can continue to walk in the Relay as supporters and not as survivors.
Tanner will be at Relay for Life again this year to honor cancer survivors and to remember those who have lost their battles.
Won't you join us in this celebration? Come join us Friday night, May 2, beginning at 7 p.m., for a little while or stay all night. The Relay will be held at the Lufkin Middle School field.
We need you, your time, and your money. There will be people walking on the track all night. You will see your friends and neighbors there - and, yes, you'll see Tanner too.
