Letter to the Editor Dear Editor: The H.G. Temple Alumni Association says thank you to everyone who came out and supported the fundraiser bingo game last month. This was one of the many fundraising activities the group utilizes to fund their scholarship program. Another event that the group promotes each year is the "food fair." Many people have asked members about this event and therefore it has become an annual affair. The food fair will present an array of Southern cuisines and foods from various cultures. The cost of the event will be $6 per person. Tickets are available in advance from any alumni association member. The food fair will be held at the Diboll Community Center at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3. You may contact the following people for more information: Rosa Haywood, 936-829-2417; Lewis Mitchell, 829-3219; and James Rhone, 829-2232. We would also like to say thank you again to the following sponsors and volunteers: Herman Hunt, Target, Brookshire Bros., Mary S. Hulett, Mammie Mark, Regina Freeman, Jim Ligon, Jeff Jackson, Lacy Chandler, Mattie Lewis, Doris Delco, Jerry Deberry, Jimmy and Pamela Phipps, Wal-Mart, Rosa Haywood, Evelyn Stephens, Minnie Lou Swanagan, Earline Vinson, James Rhone, Beverly Quinney, Margie Harrell, Cindy Blount, Clara Mitchell, Sam Coleman and Joyce Bray.
