Lady Jacks drop pair
By Russell Payne Sports Editor

Amanda Jordan comes up with a huge play at second for the Lady Jacks.
The Diboll Lady Jacks dropped a pair of ballgames last week against District 20 3-A rivals Carthage and Hudson.

Against Carthage the Lady Jacks fell in a heartbreaker by a final score of 13-4.

The Lady Jacks jumped out to an early lead 1-0 in the opening inning of play against the Lady Bulldogs.

Diboll would continue to build their lead in the game in second inning of play when the Lady Jacks scored three more big runs to take a 4-0 lead.

Unfortunately the Lady Bulldogs would come roaring back in a big way and take a two run lead in the bottom half of the third inning 6-4.

Carthage would continue to build on their lead and finally put the Lady Jacks away with a nine run difference in the affair.

The Lady Jacks did get some solid play out of Amanda Jordan, Ashley Wilson and Natalie DeJesus.

DeJesus came up with a run,

an RBI and had three solid at bats in the contest.

Friday the Lady Jacks returned home to Diboll and a contest with the Hudson Lady Hornets.

The game unfortunately got out of hand and Natalie Chagolla, while pitching a solid game, received the loss on the night.

Chagolla gave up 9 hits with 6 strike outs and 9 painful walks.

At the plate Chagolla gave it her all going 3 for 3 in the affair.

Jordan also came up with the Lady Jacks sole run in the game, as the Lady Jacks fell 13- 1 to the ladies from Hudson.

Friday night Diboll will be home for a game with Crockett at 6:30p.m.
