Candidate Forum due Thursday at CC

The Diboll Free Press will sponsor a candidates' forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Lottie and Arthur Temple Civic Center for candidates in the May 10 city and school board elections.

The forum is for candidates in the two elections to give brief statements about themselves, qualifications and reasons for running, followed by questions from the audience. Questions must be written and signed. Forms will be provided. Questions may be directed at all candidates or a particular candidate.

Nine men are seeking two two-year terms and one unexpired term on the city council. Five men are seeking three three-year terms on the Diboll school board. City council cangistered voters are encouraged to attend the forum. There is no admission fee and light refreshments will be available.
