Bus barn vandals five and nine are too young for charges
An investigation into school bus vandalism at the Diboll school district bus barn turned up two perpetrators: boys 9 and 5 years old, said Diboll Investigator Brandon Lovell. Seven buses, a box truck, box trailer, two pickup trucks and a passenger car were sprayed with fire extinguishers. One bus, the red bus the district uses as a bookmobile to city pre-schools, suffered internal damage and vandalism, with fire extinguisher powder sprayed into its generator's fuel tank. Damage is estimated at $5,000, Lovell said. The boys are too young to charge.
