Russell Harry Gauman

Russell Harry Gauman, 63, of Huntington, was born April 1 3, 1 945, in Akron Ohio. He passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in a local hospice facility.

Russell was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and reading his Bible, and was a talented craftsman. He served his country in the United States Navy, and was a member of Shawnee Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Gauman of Huntington; son, Russell Harry Gauman II of Ohio; daughters, Melodey Shepherd of Lufkin and Michele Phillips of Huntington; son, Coy Baggett of Lumberton; sisters, Sis Fletcher and Susie Gauman, both of Ohio; brother, Denny Gauman of Austin; 13 grandchildren; and a number of other family members.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine (Lizey) and Claire Gauman; a brother; and a sister.

Memorial services for Russell were held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Coy Baggett and Bro. Keith Rose officiating.
