Yard of the Month

The home of Maria Rodriguez, 503 Neil Pickett, was selected by the Diboll Garden Club as the first place winner for the Northwest area of Diboll in the May 1-2 judging.

In second place was the home of Ken Holt, 1306 Brown, and third place was awarded to the home of Minnie Jones, 309 Thompson. Judging will take place Thursday and Friday, May 8-9, for the Northeast are, beginning on Dennis, including Deer Trace, to the north Diboll city limit.

Future dates and locations of judging are:

May 15-16: Southeast area beginning on Dennis and bordered by U.S. 59 south to the south Diboll city limit.

May 22-23: Southwest area beginning on the south side of Thompson on the Martin Luther King and bordered by 59 south to the south city limit.

May 29-30: Fair Acres area.

The Diboll Garden Club urges everyone to participate. There will be one first-place winner and two runner ups. A sign will be placed in the yard of the first-place winner, designating it as "Yard Beautiful" of the week. A photo of that yard will appear in the Diboll Free Press.
