Obituaries Emma Lee "Emily" Windsor Guel Funeral services for Emma Lee "Emily" Windsor Guel, 46, of Lufkin, were held Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Southside Baptist Church in Lufkin with Bro. Jeff Robinson and Bro. Jose Rendon officiating. Interment followed in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery in Diboll. Emily was born August 21, 1961, in Lufkin,Texas, to Miriam (James) and Leonard Windsor and died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in a Houston hospital. Emily was employed in customer service with E Tech, and had resided in Lufkin and Diboll all her life. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Emily was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She had; also taught Sunday School at the Gospel Assembly Church in Nacogdoches. Survivors include her husband, Roy Nunez of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Justin Murray of Lufkin; daughters, Lucia Alfaro and Chastity Alfaro, both of Lufkin; son, Angel Nunez of Lufkin; father, Leonard Windsor of Diboll; sister, Judy Powell of Diboll; brother, Jesse Windsor of Missouri; three grandchildren, Aliyah, Aaron and Adrina Murray, all of Lufkin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were Justin Murray, Justin Powell, Robert Windsor, Greg Burkett, Curtis Windsor and Mike Windsor. Ayden Shave Havard Graveside services for Ayden Shane Havard, infant son of Mitchel and Amber Gilbreath Havard, were Saturday May 3, in Concord Cemetery with Harold Collins officiating under the direction of Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home of Lufkin. He was born and died Tuesday, April 22, in Fort Gordon, Ga. In addition to his parents, survivors include his grandparents, Debbie and Shave Havard of Huntington; Harold Collins of Huntington, Scott Gilbreath of Houston and Tim and Jadie Thompson of Goodrich; uncles, Mike Havard of Huntington and Spencer Gilbreath of Houston; aunts, Mandy Mondy of Lufkin, Alissa Gilbreath of Houston and Karly Carter of Arkansas; great-grandparents Dorothy and Charlie Greer of Houston, Del Marie Gilbreath of Houston, Bonnie Havard of Huntington and C.J. Havard of Huntington; and a number of other relatives. Clara B. Mobley Graveside services for Clara B. Mobley, 90, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Huntington Oddfellows Cemetery with Brother Glenn Washburne officiating. Ms Mobley was born January 17, 1918 in Ashdown, Arkansas to the lateVernon (Garling) and John Pete Marsh, and died Sunday, May 4, 2008 in a local nursing home. A former resident of McCamey,Texas, Ms. Mobley had resided in Angelina County for 21 years. She was a retired restaurant owner and a member of the First Assembly of God Church Huntington. Ms. Mobley was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, sew and garden. Survivors include her daughter, Donnie (Becky) White of Lufkin; son, Bill Mobley of Grand Prairie; grandchildren,Tanya Gray, Andrea Mobley and Stephen Mann; great-granddaughter, Isabella Moody; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, John Mobley and Sammy Mobley; and two sisters. The family wishes to thank the staff of A Pineywoods Home Health for all their kindness and support, and Dr. Jansen Todd for his many years of caring for Ms. Mobley. Donald (Don) Nelson Funeral services forDonald (Don) Nelson, 73, of Broaddus, Texas were held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 10:00 am. in the Huntington United Methodist Church with Reverend Martin Doran officiating. Interment followed in the Huntington Cemetery. Don was born November 3, 1934 in Ligonier, Indiana to Dorothy(Himes) and Lester Ward Nelson. and died Sunday, April 27, 2008 in a local hospital. He resided in Broaddus for 31 plus years. Mr. Nelson had been the owner and operator of American Angler for 20 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to garden. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. Survivors include his wife, Namona (Judy) Nelson of Broaddus; daughter and son-in-law,: Marilyn and Donnie Taylor of Huntington; granddaughter and husband, Samantha and Charlie Webb of Willis, TX; grandson, Jacob Taylor of 'Huntington; great granddaughter, Natalie Webb of Willis; brother, Larry Nelson of San Antonio; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sherrilie Nelson of Montecello, KY.VV He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sharon Key. Pallbearers were Jim Caphan, Galen Hunt, Danny Anders, Edward Basham, Chris Taylor, and Kent Taylor. Mark Treadaway Royce Marquis "Mark" Treadaway, 70, of Rocky Hill Community, died Tuesday, April 29, in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 9, 1938, in the Rocky Hill Community. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was a self-employed logger. He was an Army veteran and a member of Eastview Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Royce Wayne and Denise Treadaway of Huntington, Ronald Mark and KayTreadaway of Huntington, and Richard Lynn "Ricky" and Sharon Treadaway of Hudson; daughter and son in law, Amy and Brian Williams of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Jerry Glenn and Bertie Treadaway of Lubbock; special friends Billy and Sue Shuffield; nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Mae (Curbow) and Tine Treadaway; grandson Kevin McFarland; and brothers Kenneth "Poodle" Treadaway and Chester Treadaway. Pallbearers were David Treadaway, Tommy Treadaway, Scott Treadaway, Billy Page, Zac Treadaway, Gary McFarland, Keith Swearingin and Lynn Parker. Eliza Mae (Cochran) Walker Funeral services for Ellza Mae (Cochran) Walker, 85, of Huntington were held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Dr. Darryl Smith and Reverend Neal Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Huntington Cemetery. Mrs.Walker was born May 3, 1923 in the Ora Community, Angelina County, Texas to William Scott and Eureka (Ellis) Cochran, and went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 3, 2008. Mrs.Walker was a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Roy and Donna Walker, Kenneth and Nita Ann Walker, and Glenn and Gay Walker, all of Huntington; grandsons and wives, Jeff and Renee Walker and Dustin and April Walker, all of Huntington; granddaughters and husbands, Shilo and David Aguilar, Kyrie and Juan Reyes, all of Huntington, Valerie and John Sperry of Marshall and Jennifer and Jason Niosi of Lufkin; grandson, Doug Walker; granddaughters, DeAndra Walker, Laura Walker and Anna Walker, all of Huntington; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Ora Lee McPherson of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bertis and Lois Cochran of Cleburne and Buel and Wanda Puryear of Lufkin; brothers-in-law, James Mott and T.J. Delois Ward Delois Ward, 50, of Diboll, was born January 31, 1958, in Diboll, Texas, the daughter of the late Barbara (Bentley) and Edgar Ward. She passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, in a local hospital. Delois loved to read and be with her dog. She enjoyed fishing, camping, being with her family and her church family. She was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church. Survivors include her brothers and sisters in-law, David and Ethel Ward, Bobby and Sandra Ward, all of Diboll and Willie Ward and Dorothy Parker of Corrigan; brothers, Carlton Ward and Roger Ward, both of Diboll; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Ben Brewer of Diboll; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew and other family members. In addition to her parents, Delois was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ward. Pallbearers were Daniel Kee, Jason Goodwin, Joe Packard, Robbie Packard, Scott Ivey andTrey Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be RIcky Ward and Ricky Kee. Expressions of sympathy in Delois' memory maybe to Hospice in the Pines, 116 S. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904. Services for Delois were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in the Jubilee Baptist Church, with Bro. Jerry Young and Bro. Myrton Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Stryker Cemetery in Polk County. |
