Catching up, Al Frick, April 13, and his wife Mary Lynne, April 24. Sympathy is with the family of friend Eliza May Cochran Walker. The lovely flowers in the front and back of our church building were planted and cared for by Debra Bashaw. We enjoy them very much. Sheila Pinner Cernosek was in church worship with her parents Bob and Carol Pinner. She lives near Dallas with her husband and two daughters. She was in my (Juanita) first grade here in Huntington. She not teaches in the high school. For those wanting to go to camp this summer there is still time to get your forms to Martin Doran. United Methodist Women meet every second Monday of the month. Priscilla Circle meets on the third Thursday. We appreciate the work of these two groups. Priscilla focuses on local missions while United Methodist Women focuses on global ministries. Both groups have a hand in helping our youth go to camp at Lakeview in the summer. The trustees have completed inserting tempered glass panels into the doors of the education rooms. This is in keeping with the rules for Safe Sanctuary. Several other projects are on-going. The next project is to install a wood fence around the central heat and air units and the trash containers. The Staff-Parish Relations Committee members are: Glenda Jones and George Bill Perry, chairpersons. Class of 2008: Chris Runnels, Tony Burnett, Chris Banks; Class of 2009: Les Holder, Mary Lynne Frick, Bill Simpson; Class of 2010: Sue Wood, Billie Billeck. |
