Charles "Pat" Hartman

Mass of Christian burial for Charles "Pat" Hartman, 66, of Lufkin was celebrated Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father William Slight officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary was recited at 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Father Paul Rainville officiating.

Mr. Hartman was born August 25, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to Helen (Jackson) and Samuel Patrick Hartman, and died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in a local nursing home.

Mr. Hartman had resided in Lufkin for years and retired as a foreman from Citation/Texas Foundries following 32 years of service. After his retirement he was in charge of the kitchen at the Diboll Correctional Facility. Mr. Hartman was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3404 and St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Steve Hartman and special friend, Geri Wheeler of Nacogdoches; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Michael Morrison and Laurie and Joe McCleskey, all of Apple Springs; grandchildren, Allen Morrison, Terry Morrison and Jennifer Morrison; brother, Mike Hartrnan of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Verline Hartman of Lufkin; stepmother, Grace Hartman of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus Council #3404.
