Basketball camps set for June

Attention all future Lumberjack and Lady Jack Basketball sensations, and their parents just in case they miss this, it is time to register for the 2008 Jax Basketball Camp.

This year's camp is slated for June 2 - 5 at the Diboll High School Gym, with activities running from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The camp is opened to all girls and boys entering the third grade through the ninth grade.

The cost of the camp will be $20 for any students that turn in their money and registration forms before May 22. Walk-ups will also be welcome, with the cost being $25 for the late registration.

The camp will stress fundamentals with an emphasis on shooting, dribbling, passing and individual moves.

The daily schedule of events during the camp will be filled with a mix of drills, team practice and games for all campers in attendance.

Campers should dress appropriately for basketball activities and basketball shoes must be worn. No jogging, hiking or dress shoes will be allowed on the court.

All campers need to be ready for the day and arrive 15 minutes early at the back entrance of the gym.
