Raffle Tickets

The JackBackers Athletics Booster Club is offering up an excellent opportunity to win a lifetime hunting and fishing license. Tickets for the raffle are now only $10. Now if you are not that big on hunting and fishing there is still plenty of reason for you to purchase a ticket as the second prize is a $500 gift card to anywhere of your choosing and a $250 gift card for the third prize winner. You may purchase tickets anytime Monday Friday, 8a.m.- 5p.m. at the Diboll Free Press office, or contact any member of the JackBackers.

Final Basketball Sign-ups

Registration is $40. Thursday, Jan. 8 at Diboll Junior High Game, form 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 9 at Diboll High School Game from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Late and final registration will be $50 on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Diboll City Hall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wall of Fame

The new Diboll Wall of Honor celebrating the achievements of former Lumberjack and Lady Jacks for their performance in basketball and volleyball will be unveiled Friday, January 26, between the Lady Jacks and Lumberjacks Varsity basketball games. Nominations were submitted and next week the committees slections to go on the wall will be announced. Come on out as some of the all time best Diboll athlete's are honored for their athletic achievements.

Golf Tourney

The Diboll Lumberjacks and Lady Jacks will be hosting a pair of golf tournaments at Neches Pines Golf Course this spring. The Lumberjacks will host schools from around the area March 9, while the Lady Jacks will welcome in competition the following day March 10. Both tournaments will have an 8:30 am shotgun start. Fans come on out and cheer on our local golf teams.

Soccer

The Diboll Lumberjacks and Lady Jacks will be getting into the thick of things real soon as the 2009 soccer season kicks off.
