Nancy Ford
Services for Nancy Alice Sadler Ford, 78, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Lufkin, were held Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at First Church of the Nazarene in Lufkin. with the Revs. John Branham and David Craig officiating. Interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Gipson Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Troup, the daughter of the late Thelma (Harvey) and Fennie Sadler. She died Saturday, Jan. 3, at her residence.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a wonderful cook. She will be remembered fondly for being a devoted pastor's wife, a gracious hostess, and a genuinely beautiful person. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Nacogdoches.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, the Rev. Billy M. Ford of Nacogdoches; son, Robert Ford of Nacogdoches; daughter, Becky Ford Selby of Waco; three grandchildren, Brad Selby of Waco, Courtney Ford of Jackson, Tenn., and Justin Ford of Jackson, Tenn.; sisters, Linda Hibler of Mansfield and Mildred Arnold of Henderson; brothers, Billy Sadler of Tyler and Ray Sadler of Arlington; 15 nephews; six nieces; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Stephen Ford; and brother, Gordon Sadler.
Pallbearers were Brad Selby,Justin Ford, Tony Cornell, Timmy Cornell, Tommy Cornell and Damon Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Moser, Jon Marc Rea, Joshua Rea, Jacob' Rea, Blace Floyd, Payne Floyd and Mike Sadler.
