Lady Jacks set sights on Class 3A State Championship
      It is hard to believe that the regular season has already come to a close and after 30 victories and a single defeat the Diboll Lady Jacks are set for postseason action and the fight of their life is just around the corner. The No. 1 Class 3A team in all of Texas has a major test ahead of them as the Class 3 Region III Playoffs begin later this week.

Lady Jacks defeat Central Heights in opener
      The Diboll Lady Jack Softball team kicked off the 2009 season with a home contest that resulted in an 8-3 victory over Central Heights. The Lady Jacks played a sound ballgame from top to bottom and gave Diboll native and brand new Lady Jack field boss Megan Baldree.

Pre-k Day Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Austin
      AUSTIN - Pre-k Day at the Texas Capitol will take place Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the Texas Capitol building. Nearly 1,000 early education advocates, supporters, and stakeholders will join with the Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition at the Capitol to demonstrate their support for high-quality pre-k in Texas.
