Summer is upon us and the ministry plate for Jubilee folks is full. That is good for the cup of God's blessing is full to overflowing so we drink from the saucer of His grace.

Vacation Bible School for the children of the community will begin Monday evening June 15 and go through Friday the 19th. Sunday morning will be the culmination of a week of children's ministry. The theme this year is Avalanche Ranch. When the children learn the Bible stories, they learn more than the facts of what happened.

First they learn how to worship God and please Jesus in service to Him. Since Christ is the Judge of all men and we will all give an account of our life to Him, we need to learn how to please Him at a young age. I am thankful that the Word is not just for way out in the future after we die but is relevant to our everyday life right here and right now.

The second great thing the children learn from the Bible stories is how to live a successful life here and now. Jesus lived in a word that was really just like the one we live in today. The times were filed with violence everywhere. It was dangerous for adults and children alike. This is the reason we say to all parents, you are welcome to come to VBS also and watch what your children are being taught. It is just as important for parents to know the VBS workers that are teaching their children as it is for parents to know the public or private school teachers who are instructing the children in reading, writing, addition and subtraction.

We appreciate the opportunity to get acquainted with all parents of the children who attend. You are important to Jesus also. That makes you important to us.

We invite you to come be a part of the ministry of Jubilee Baptist Church. If you are not regular in worship of Jesus Christ, the only risen Savior, this coming Sunday would be a wonderful time to make that life commitment to Jesus. Jubilee Baptist Church is a country church at the edge of town that sings country gospel songs from long ago and the traditional hymns. Friendly folks from the Family of God will welcome you at the door and be excited that you have chosen to worship with us. We hope to see you Sunday.
