Funeral for Benjamin Junior Romero, 23, of Lufkin, was Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lufkin. He died Friday, May 15. He was a native of Mexico. Survivors include his wife, Maria Caster; son, Benjamin Isaac Romero; mother, Hilda Hernandez; one brother; and one sister. More...
Ryan Peterson of KTRE presents a check for $1,048.65 to Jeff Woods and Eric Hernandez of the Boys & Girls Club. The donation goes to the Diboll chapter, on behalf of Diboll Lumberjack Cornelius Polk. Polk was named MVP of the boys game at the KTRE River Rivalry, a basketball game pitting the best seniors of Angelina County against the best seniors of Nacogdoches County.
