Local students prepare for returning to school after a busy summer. Students representing The Saltmine, student ministry at First Baptist Church-Diboll, have been busy this summer and many will return to school after learning great life lessons. The high school students traveled to Tennessee to Camp Living Stones in early June where they helped with mission projects and enjoyed great worship, bible study, and networking with students from Mountain Home, Arkansas and Garland, Texas. The junior high students traveled a short distance to Pineywoods Encampment for summer camp. They enjoyed their experiences as well including bible study, worship and meeting about 800 new friends. To wind down the summer, 23 students along with 5 adult sponsors, traveled to the Dallas metroplex for a trip to Six Flags which hosted Christian Rap Artists, TobyMac and Kutless. They ended their trip with worship at Prestonwood Church in North Plano (pictured right). Many students will return to school changed through their experiences they had over the summer.
