Although the weather has continued to be hot this month, children hoping to escape the heat have been thwarted for the last week and a half now that the splash park in Old Orchard Park in Diboll has been shut down. City Manager Dennis McDuffie says the closing came about when the city was forced to shut down one of its water wells due to a mechanical malfunction.
