Library boasts of building, ‘Teen Read’

Church celebrates 100th; Gipsons back
      Pine Grove Congregational Methodist Church was 100 years old in October. Several members planned a special centennial celebration Oct. 25 at the church. Several soloists, including Atmar Lester, Deidra (Breazeale) Carroll and Hannah Bowman, performed special music. Shiela Stout provided a video history of the church with more than 500 images.

Robinsons back; Youngsters bring out fans
      Ronnie and Bobbi Robinson had a wonderful trip to Fripp Island, S.C., this month. They flew into Savannah and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Paula Deen’s “Lady and Sons” restaurant. They visited with a friend and her husband that Bobbi had met on the Internet playing bridge 10 years ago. They have a lovely home on the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoying time in Diboll, at Free Press
      I was in between newspaper gigs, playing at being a farmer-rancher at my parents’ place in Jacksonville when I was asked to step in as your interim editor. Now I’ll tell you that French guy, Manuel Labor, and I don’t get along real well so I pulled the travel trailer down here and got busy back behind a desk where my ever-expanding behind belongs.
