Harriers set to toe the line at Regionals Saturday in Humble
      The Lady ‘Jacks cross country team heads to Humble on Saturday for a race that is their equivalent of the playoffs. They qualified for the regional meet by placing third as a team during the district race held two weekends ago in Hudson. This group of girls truly embodies what it means to be a team in a sport measured by individual results.

Despite the Lumberjacks best offensive performance of the season, Carthage cruised to a 54-25 victory behind QB Anthony Morgan’s 316 yards passing and six touchdowns
      The Diboll Lumberjacks were officially eliminated from the district 18-3A playoff race on Friday night after the defending state champion Carthage Bulldogs exploded for 54 points and 591 yards of total offense. Needing to pull an upset on the road against undefeated and state-ranked Carthage, the ‘Jacks did everything they could to win the football game.

Roadrunners open season with win over Tomball
      The Angelina College Roadrunners introduced its new roster to a home crowd in Monday’s season opener, and seemingly every player gave AC fans a reason to applaud the arrival of the new season. Seven Roadrunners scored in double figures, led by sophomore Takoby Jackson, as AC raced to a 114-55 season-opening win over Lonestar College-Tomball at Shands Gym.

     Mickenzie Murry shot her first buck on November 1 while hunting with her dad on a lease in Shelby County. It was an 8-point buck with a 16-inch spread at a distance of about 100 yards.

      Normally a defensive player, De’Adrian toted the rock five times for 49 yards and a touchdown against Carthage last week. His 9.9 yards per carry average led all Lumberjack rushers. Combined, Lumberjack ball carriers rushed for 321 yards against a defense that gives up less than 200 yards per game.
