Funeral for GW Hawkins, 83, of Lake Jackson was held Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home. Burial was at the Carrell Cemetery.

He passed away November 13, 2009 In Lake Jackson.

A native of Lufkin, he was a parts manager for Barrett Mack, he was also a veteran.

Survivors include his son, George Hawkins; three stepdaughters; two sisters; and six grandchildren.
