Holiday Baseball Camp

The 2009 Holiday Baseball Camp will take place Dec. 28th and 29th at the Lufkin Youth Baseball Complex at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin.

The camp is for youngsters age 8 through 18.

Chris Smith, LA Dodger scout and former coach at Cal State Fullerton and Loyola Marymount, will direct the camp. Kyle Van Hook, professional scout and former coach at Blinn College and San Jacinto College, will assist Smith.

The camp, a thorough and comprehensive program on hitting, pitching and throwing, will offer quality instruction in the fundamentals of baseball and the opportunity for practice and drills.

The camp is designed to ensure a 12-1 camper to coach ration. Camp attendance will be limited.

Cost per camper is $80, which includes nine hours of instruction in the following three sessions:

Session 1 – Dec. 28th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Session 2 – Dec. 28th, 1-4 p.m.

Session 3 – Dec. 29th, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The emphasis will be on hitting, pitching and defensive positions. Each camper will be filmed and evaluated by the coaching staff during the camp. For registration information, call Angelina College head coach Jeff Livin at 936-639-0647 after 6 p.m.
