Self defense training available

Diboll ISD Police Chief Jason Burrous is offering a free Women’s Self Awareness class on March 22-23 and 29-30 from 6-10 p.m.

As the Chief Defensive Tactics instructor at Angelina College since 1993, Chief Burrous will focus his instruction on how to be safe in an unsafe world by covering topics like intuition, situational awareness, and abduction/ rape prevention techniques.

The class is open to any female of appropriate age who wishes to learn some basic self defense through lecture presentations and hands-on training. Although there is no cost to attend these seminars, donations will be accepted, with any proceeds being raised going to benefit Project Graduation.
