PJ Party The third annual Pink Pearl PJ Party Ladies Night Out will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, March 19, at the Diboll Civic Center. Women wear their pajamas, ti­aras,

boas, anything to make it fun. Elvis and the Stonewall Rockers will perform. Tickets are $25 each and tables of eight are available. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society through the Pink Peral E-Racers Relay for Life team.

SPJST dance

SPJST Lodge, lo­cated at 197 Hughes Road in Lufkin, will have its dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 20, featuring the music of Glenn Lenderman. Mem­bers,

Women, Mission Day Sweet Union Baptist Church in Alto will have its annual Women and Mission Day Program at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 21. Sister Jea­nette Moore of Weep­ing Mary Baptist Church will speak. at 11 a.m. the 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Anthony Parks.

Bake sale

A bake sale fund­raiser will be held Fri­day, March 26 to help Phyllis Ann Baxter with medical and living ex­penses.

Sonic Day The Diboll Band’s annual Sonic Day is March 27. A percent­age

of the proceeds from sales at the Diboll Sonic Drive-In will be donated to the band program.

Communitywide Easter service

There will be a com­munitywide Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 4, in Old Orchard Park. The service is brought to you by 1st Assem­bly

of God, Rock solid Ministries, Primera Eglesia Bautista, First United Methodist Di­boll & Burke, Lakeview Baptist Church, Grace Point Church and oth­ers.

Tamale festival

The third annual Tamale Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Temple Civic Center in Diboll. Entry forms for the contests and for tamale vendor, arts and crafts, and concession booths are available at www.cityofdiboll.com.

Expenses help An account for Phyllis Baxter has been set up at Commercial Bank. Baxter had major back surgery and needs help with medical and living expenses. For more information, call Dean Hines at 829-2302.

Relay garage sale The First Bank and Trust Relay for Life Team will hold a Garage Sale on Saturday, March 27, in the bank parking lot at 104 N. Temple Drive. There will be lots of everything, including clothes of all sizes, baby items, furniture, toys and more.. All the proceeds from the sale will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

PAC Garden Party & Home Tour

The History Friends of the Angelina County Histori­cal Commission are sponsoring a Preserving Angeli­na County Garden Party at the historic Walker House at 503 Harmony Hill Drive in Lufkin on Tuesday, March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. Garden Party guests will tour this beautiful, old home, which was restored by the Card/Miles families. The Garden Party and Home tour kicks off the History Friends’ membership drive. History Friends memberships are $15, $25, $500 and $1000. All the money raised will be used to operate the Historical Commission office and for projects of the Commission. The public is invited.
