Photo Courtesy of The History Center THIRTY YEARS AGO THIS WEEK Members of the Diboll Temple Junior School University Interscholastic League team wins overall first place among five district schools competing in fifth and sixth grade events. Diboll led all schools with 90 points in such events as ready writing, numbers sense, picture memory, spelling and oral reading. Among the winners are (back row) Edwin Quarles, Bryan Kimpt, Twyla Stegall, Carmen Capps, and Leslie Harris. Also (front row) Kyle Cooke, Gregg Baker, Kevin Smith, John Hurst, Gregg Krull and Edward Seekings.
